    Environmental Farm Plans

    Environmental Farm Plans (EFP) are assessments voluntarily prepared by producers to increase their environmental awareness in up to 25 different areas on their farm. Through the EFP process, farmers will highlight their farm's environmental strengths, identify areas of environmental concern, and set realistic action plans with time tables to improve environmental conditions.

    Farm and Ranch Water Infrastructure Program

    The Farm and Ranch Water Infrastructure Program (FRWIP) supports the development of secure water supplies in Saskatchewan to expand irrigated acres, the livestock industry, encourage rural economic activity and mitigate the impacts of drought under four program categories:

    • On-Farm
    • Agricultural Business Development
    • Community Well
    • Irrigation District
  • Farm Stewardship

    Farm Stewardship Program

    The Farm Stewardship Program (FSP) provides eligible Saskatchewan producers with financial assistance to implement beneficial management practices (BMPs) to help maintain or improve the quality of soil, water, air, or biodiversity resources.

  • Plant Management

    Invasive Plant Management Program

    The Invasive Plant Management Program is administered by SARM and contracted to invasive weed specialist Harvey Anderson to provide weed management support and education to rural municipalities. Contact Harvey at handerson@agr.gov.sk.ca for more information.
